The Fox

A fox followed me to work last night. A young’un, trotting a constant six foot behind me. I kept stopping and he’d stop.

But he wouldn’t run. He would just look at me, a nervous look in his eyes but never budging an inch. When I would start walking again he’d start too.

Never known a fox to act like that.

After a while I got used to the idea and we both hobbled along until I reached the bypass and he scarpered back home. We must have looked quite a sight, had anyone seen us.

I hope he’s alright. He’s too trusting for a wild animal. I could have been a right arsehole.
